Same here! I have a 3kw 12VDC to 120VAC inverter I plan to connect to the Jumper Cable lug under the hood.

Ideally, the inverter would convert the ~300VDC battery to AC but these inverters are expensive ($2500) for running air conditioners in old cranes (absopulse.com/category/dc-ac-inverters). Many older cranes operate on DC power because when those controls were built, DC was easier to supply and provided the power load necessary to drive large, robust pieces of equipment.

According to the local Ford dealer here, you cannot add it after the fact (for whatever that's worth). Based on the limitations I see here with it (can't use while vehicle is being charged, some limits in power draw, issues with faults) - a pure SINE inverter connected correctly may be a substantially better (and perhaps cheaper) option.
